Certifications: BLS (AHA) (pending is acceptable, must confirm willingness to obtain)

- Must be willing to work with a variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs, etc.)
Job Description:
- Orientation hours are 8; candidates must be available the entire week of orientation.
- Willingness to float to other Med/Surg units as needed, typically once per week.
- Required to work every other weekend.
- Cannot guarantee or approve block scheduling at this time.
- Responsible for providing care in a 37-bed unit, managing a wide variety of patient types.
- Specializes in the care of gastrointestinal, urological, and gynecological surgeries.
- Patient care for general medical diagnosis, orthopedic/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, surgical patients including GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies.
- Staffing ratio is 1:5-6 for nights, which may flex to 8 patients with support from an LPN.
- Holiday time off requests are not guaranteed as holiday work is usually required.
- Completion of modules is non-billable, self-reported, and part of orientation and annual training.
- Proof of flu vaccination required upon submission; medical exemptions must be submitted within 48 hours of signing the contract.
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
All candidates are subject to background policy checks and must have completed all lab work within 48-72 hours of signing the contract. Return staff policy requires a six-month gap before reapplying.
