Your Role
The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees the daily functions of the warehouse and the shipping and receiving departments. This includes managing labor schedules, supervising staff, and ensuring optimal use of space, equipment, and manpower. Key responsibilities encompass staffing, warehouse operations, facility and equipment maintenance, and the implementation of safety, security, quality, housekeeping, and sanitation programs.Your Responsibilities
- Developand direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation andutilization of the facility.
- Plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing,shipping, handling returned or damaged goods, maintenance, andadministrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met in anefficient manner.
- Work with Production Department Managers to develop smooth flow of finished goods into the warehouse for both shipping and storage.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual staff planning and scheduling to ensure each task is adequately resourced.
- Direct the operations of the warehouse supervisory personnel to achieveprescribed objectives.
- Assure that customer orders are picked and shipped timely and withinprescribed cost levels.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of reports regarding warehouseoperations.
- Analyze reports to ensure profitability of customer account.
- Report to Air Logistics Warehouse Manager
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’sdegree in business discipline or logistic, required
- 3+ years of warehouse management experience
- 3+ years of Air Logistics operations
- Proven track record of working with federal agencies associated with Air Logistics (TSA, FAA, NTSB, DOT, etc.)
- Dangerous Good andBulk Unitization Program certification preferred
