University Health Services is seeking a team-oriented HR Coordinator to join the UHS HR team. The ideal candidate will bring the desire to provide a high level of customer support and a positive approach to change. This position will report to the HR Director and will join three other HR team members in this collaborative work environment.
As a member of the UHS Human Resources Team, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for executing a range of HR responsibilities from a collaborative, customer-service-oriented perspective including but not limited to:
--Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, inclusive of creating and reviewing job descriptions, placing advertisements, screening applicant submissions and supporting search committee efforts.
--Performing new hire processing such as I-9 completion and background checks.
--Responding to inquiries from UHS staff and campus partners.
--Supporting and promoting compliance with UHS and UW Madison policies and procedures.
--Providing back-up to other HR staff activities as needed.
--Completing HR projects as assigned.
Creates and maintains human resources (HR) records, coordinates logistics for one or many HR functions, disseminates HR communications, and processes various HR specific transactions to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations
- 15% Creates and maintains various HR specific reports, databases, and/or records to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and legal rules and regulations
- 35% Enters, reviews, and processes HR transactions according to established policies and procedures
- 10% Schedules logistics and secures resources for recruitment processes, onboarding activities, payroll functions, and/or other HR related activities
- 15% Serves as a point of contact to employees, managers, and internal and external stakeholders. Responds to inquiries and escalates more complex issues to the appropriate authorities
- 15% Audits and tracks compliance for various HR functions such as performance evaluations, onboarding, off boarding, criminal background checks, and credentialing
- 10% Manages the dissemination of HR related communications to various audiences under the direction of leadership
