Systems Administrator

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Administrator for a contract opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA.

This position is 100% onsite.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1. US Citizenship required at this facility
2. Ability to lift 30 pounds
3. Must possess a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8572 qualified certificate (or obtain within the first 60 days of employment)
4. Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems
5. Install operating system security patches and firmware updates
6. Create/manage security groups
7. Coordinate hardware repair activities
8. Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems/issues
9. Create scripts to automate system administration tasks
10. Create/edit Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) documentation

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

1. Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
2. Experience administering virtual machines with VMWare ESXi
3. Performing routine server/workstation patching per guidelines
4. Proficiency in scripting (shell/Ansible)
5. Successfully install server and associated hardware
6. Successfully install/configure software applications and programs
7. Managing servers in a disconnected environment
8. Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management (i.e., Nessus, Trellix, Splunk, SCAP, HBSS))

Full-Time 4/10 work schedule 1st Shift
