Recorded Future is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting Team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting. In this role, you'll support the month-end close process, contribute to the operational needs of the business, and help scale workflows and processes as Recorded Future grows towards a $500 million ARR. The position is based at Recorded Future's global HQ in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Job Overview:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Team by driving process improvements, implementing best-in-class procedures, and scaling back-office functions to meet the demands of the company's fast-paced growth. You will be a strategic partner to finance and sales, focusing on general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.

What You'll Do As The Senior Accountant:

  1. Participate in month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis
  2. Stay up-to-date with US GAAP pronouncements; perform technical accounting research and implement new accounting guidance
  3. Assist with cash forecasting by analyzing bank activities, updating assumptions, and reporting on cash flow targets weekly
  4. Conduct periodic reviews of expense coding and allocations for vendor bills and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and consistency
  5. Support tax return preparation, provision filing, and any IRS or tax audits
  6. Collaborate with business partners to support initiatives, drive process improvements, and implement best practices
  7. Assist external auditors with interim and year-end audit requests
  8. Create and report on standard and custom reports from the company's ERP system

What You'll Bring As The Senior Accountant:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience; CPA a plus
  2. 2+ years of general accounting experience
  3. Knowledge of operational accounting processes
  4. Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and reconciliation skills
  5. Advanced PC skills in Word, Excel, file management, and Google Suite; experience with NetSuite, Floqast, Workday, Salesforce, and Zendesk a plus
  6. Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects independently while meeting tight deadlines.
  7. Prior experience in SaaS/tech industry or with SaaS/tech clients preferred
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to see how various pieces fit together
  9. Ability to present and communicate data clearly
  10. Able to troubleshoot system or data issues
  11. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
