Recorded Future is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting Team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting. In this role, you'll support the month-end close process, contribute to the operational needs of the business, and help scale workflows and processes as Recorded Future grows towards a $500 million ARR. The position is based at Recorded Future's global HQ in Somerville, Massachusetts.
Job Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Team by driving process improvements, implementing best-in-class procedures, and scaling back-office functions to meet the demands of the company's fast-paced growth. You will be a strategic partner to finance and sales, focusing on general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
What You'll Do As The Senior Accountant:
- Participate in month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Stay up-to-date with US GAAP pronouncements; perform technical accounting research and implement new accounting guidance
- Assist with cash forecasting by analyzing bank activities, updating assumptions, and reporting on cash flow targets weekly
- Conduct periodic reviews of expense coding and allocations for vendor bills and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Support tax return preparation, provision filing, and any IRS or tax audits
- Collaborate with business partners to support initiatives, drive process improvements, and implement best practices
- Assist external auditors with interim and year-end audit requests
- Create and report on standard and custom reports from the company's ERP system
What You'll Bring As The Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience; CPA a plus
- 2+ years of general accounting experience
- Knowledge of operational accounting processes
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and reconciliation skills
- Advanced PC skills in Word, Excel, file management, and Google Suite; experience with NetSuite, Floqast, Workday, Salesforce, and Zendesk a plus
- Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects independently while meeting tight deadlines.
- Prior experience in SaaS/tech industry or with SaaS/tech clients preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to see how various pieces fit together
- Ability to present and communicate data clearly
- Able to troubleshoot system or data issues
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
