SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to process employees’ payroll in an accurate and timely manner, supporting the organizational objectives of providing confidentiality and administration of Perry Ellis International policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze/audit time and attendance data from Kronos prior to payroll processing.
  • Contact all locations for missing and/or incorrect data. Import and reconcile the hours from Kronos into Oracle each pay period.
  • Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation (e.g., time sheets, leave time, etc.) for accuracy.
  • Process Payroll: Including calculating employee hours, wages, deductions and taxes on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Run payroll reports in Fusion auditing special pays.
  • Sort and distribute all live checks and vouchers.
  • Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits.
  • Prepare payroll related documents for verification of employment and salary.
  • Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and other payroll-related matters.
  • Maintain a wide variety of payroll information, files, and records.
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with payroll taxes and compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times to protect employee privacy.
  • Cover for team members in a back-up role as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Proficient experience with Excel and Oracle-Fusion payroll.
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
