We are now hiring Data Center Technicians to join a new and rapidly expanding team, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the hardware infrastructure of the latest cloud computing server technologies for a Fortune 500 global technology company.


Day to Day:

  • Hardware, network, and server deployment, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and project documentation.
  • Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware.
  • Conduct equipment repair and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Utilize hand tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct fiber splicing and manage fiber optic connections.
  • Provide field service support for data center operations.
  • Adhere to codes and standards for data center safety.


Requirements:

  • Quickly and accurately resolve issues with server and network hardware through root cause analysis with a solid understanding of computers, servers, network devices, and command line diagnostics.
  • Must possess technical aptitude and the ability to communicate advanced technical information with a variety of individuals of varying technical knowledge.
  • Capability to contribute to strong inter and intra-team development.
  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated problem solving ability, and the ability to operate solo or as part of a team with varying degrees of supervision.
  • Ability to successfully operate in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations while handling multiple critical priorities simultaneously. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate effective examples of situations where personal initiative and judgment were used to benefit team objectives.


Preferred:

  • Experience handling hardware/equipment, installing servers, connecting network cables, etc.
  • Prior experience working in a data center or critical environment facility.
  • Prior experience with cable installations or knowledge of cabling standards.


Logistics:

  • This starts off as a 4-week contract that is likely to extend.
  • Work would be in Quincy, WA - candidates local to WA would be preferred - or within driving distance. Travel accommodations may be provided depending on commute time.
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:30AM-5:00PM, with two 15-minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch break.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective gloves, safety glasses, certified ear plugs, and steel-toe or composite-toe boots.
  • Must have reliable transportation, pass a background check, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
