The department of Admissions at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Application Coordinator.

This position exists to process applications and transcripts for admission to the university to ensure the application process progresses as quickly, accurately and smoothly as possible. The Application Coordinator also prepares and keeps accurate records in the CRM for students applying to the college and prepares and sends appropriate correspondence. Much of this information is transferred to Banner and impacts financial aid, registrar, student accounts, etc. This position is expected to initiate the implementation of all new procedures & processes for re-enrolling, first-year, transfer, second-degree, graduate and certificate students. This position coordinates the printed communications to new applicants.


Responsibilities include:

  • Scan, enter data and update information, with other application coordinators, about 5,200 applications per year on CRM.
  • Import data electronically. This includes applications, transcripts and recommendations, etc.
  • Classify students correctly, problem solve with counselors as necessary to make sure applications are processed correctly.
  • Work with the supervisor to assess priorities. Ensure that applications are processed quickly and accurately and students receive timely responses.
  • Manage/identify duplicate records in CRM.
  • Create and maintain queries to manage applicants through the Admission process.
  • Manage various applications types. Initiate changes in process as issues are identified.
  • Work with multiple University systems – DocFinity, Banner, Kateway, Slate, etc.
  • Integrate procedures as changes and new demands are made on the system.
  • Research document requirements, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (GED)
  • Ability to maintain high accuracy and efficiency while working with detailed computer records, files, and correspondence
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Concern for the individual student welfare
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with students, co-workers, and other college personnel
  • Ability to work independently, but must know when to ask questions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or some college coursework completed, experience in an educational setting and experience completing data entry in a database system
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Banner, Slate, and Gmail
