Join our Team! Behavioral Health Connections is a psychiatric assessment and placement service which provides mental health evaluations to patients experiencing mental health crisis. Our dedicated call center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and staffed by knowledgeable and caring Call Center Specialists who are the first point of contact for our referral sources. As a psychiatric assessment and placement service provider, we offer patients in crisis mental health evaluations to determine and locate the most appropriate level of care.
BHC in Orlando is seeking a dynamic and talented Full-Time Clinical Director in our Orlando, FL Market to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals to work Monday-Friday. The Clinical Director has the responsibility of clinical oversight for all assessors, provides clinical training for all assessors; clinical review and oversight of clinical assessment documentation ensuring the appropriate triaging of patients is made to the most appropriate level of care; and supervises the daily schedule of assessors to ensure suitable coverage to contracted facilities.
Qualifications:
Education: Required- Masters Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health or related field.
Licensure and Certification: Current license in the state where BHC is providing services. Meets current state requirements for RN (“Registered Nurse – BSN”).
Experience: Preferably two or more years of experience in mental health assessments, staff management and general office/practice management.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides clinical supervision and managerial responsibilities of the clinical assessment team ensuring the timely processing of referrals and treatment placement; assists with the daily through-put of patient placement at appropriate level of care treatment facilities/programs.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, interview, selecting, hiring, training; responsible for disciplining employees, up to and including termination of employment.
- Supervises the daily scheduling of clinical assessors to ensure appropriate coverage for 24/7 operations.
- Provides clinical support by case audits to ensure appropriate level of care is being recommended, documented and communicated.
- Ensures data entry is accurate and timely into reporting systems/data bases; assists with weekly/monthly reports.
- Maintains excellent daily communication with referring/receiving facilities regarding patient case status and establishes/maintains effective relationships with all customers by practicing good standards of customer service.
- Addresses any clinical concerns by referral sources or receiving facilities in a timely manner to ensure service excellence.
- Holds staff meetings to provide updates on process changes, new procedures, results of audits, etc.; identifies additional training needs.
- Processes biweekly payroll timesheet to Payroll personnel.
- Collaborates with executive/regional/corporate directors in marketing efforts for BHC services, development of new business, and the management of new service lines.
- Adheres to all BHC policies, procedures, and service excellence standards.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
