Job Description Summary
This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the decision-making at the highest level of our organization. You will be part of the Benchmark Improvement Program Team collaborating across the UVA health system.
This role will derive and prioritize the most pertinent strategic insights to shape business strategy with measurable outcomes. Make insights easily digestible, accessible, and business-friendly for executive-level and specialties/Divisions to support data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role will provide real time analytics, generating insights to inform decisions across the business, maximizing opportunities and ensuring operational execution is optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.
This role uses a combination of strategic thinking and analytical skills to help improve benchmark programs. This role will support the Director of Benchmark Improvement Programs.
This role will serve as a crucial link between Analytics & Reporting, clinical operations, Specialties, and executives' teams to effectively meet benchmark improvement goals.

Provide clinical data analysis to support Medical Center operations
Ensure data analyst support of Service Line and organizational work plans including A3 problem solving, baseline assessment, and on-going monitoring/reporting Support Leadership requests and real time problem solving needs Support the creation and development of automated, regular reporting distribution to organizational leaders and staff
Ensure clinical elements of external enterprise reporting requirements are met
Serve as subject matter expert for federal and state quality data reporting requirements for the Medical Center Develop reports to communicate performance on key metrics Serve as key contact for Pay for Performance program reporting Serve as consultant to School of Medicine Departments, Health System Service Lines and senior leaders on the impact, financial and reputational, of key quality metrics
Lead the development of Clinical Balanced Scorecard metrics
Participate in the identification of metrics through data analysis, projected regulatory changes and consumer awareness Oversee the development of organizational and Service Line benchmarks and targets Oversee the development of appropriate reporting on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis to meet Service Line, leadership and Board expectations
Be a data steward and participate in organizational data governance
Be a subject matter expert on the effects of data standards and policies on Medical Center clinical operations Consult with other experts within the Health System to effectively represent clinical data needs at organizational governance meetings Promote the values of data transparency and data literacy
Position Compensation Range: $118,123.20 - $188,988.80 Annual
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Expertise in all phases of business intelligence, with a minimum of 3 years work experience, preferably in healthcare.
Licensure: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
