Job Requirements / Description
OVERVIEW ::
The Production Lead person provides guidance, support, and motivation to their staff. They delegate and coordinate tasks and oversee the activities of their department. They handle conflict, monitor processes, represent their team within their assigned department, and hire and train staff to make sure tasks are performed accurately. Usually works five to six days a week; overtime may be required based on production needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ::
Oversees work at various stations along the production lines processing poultry food products.
Monitors employee wellbeing and coordinates bathroom break schedules for department.
Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing, and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management related matters.
Ensures that the qualities of the products are being met according to customer specifications, QA, and USDA.
Adheres to and supports all company policies and regulations.
Enforces all supported programs related to food safety and foreign material prevention.
Ensures that all equipment throughout the departments are running smoothly.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Maintain proper documentation on required paperwork.
All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS ::
Good attendance (Less than 4 Points).
High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.
Must be willing to learn all jobs in assigned area.
Good communication skills.
Must have good basic math skills.
Able to work without very much supervision.
NO disciplinary write-ups in last 6 months.
Ability to work with and lead a diverse group of employees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ::
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, if applicable.
Work in areas with wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 lb to 110 lb.
May be exposed to chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
