Position Summary
The primary function of this position will be to be the head of modeling for all Axcelus products and carriers. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating Axcelus' MG-ALFA model, running monthly financial projections and analysis, Asset Adequacy Testing, Financial Reporting, profitability analysis, annual PBR requirements, and ORSA stress testing. This role would have 1 direct report, with the opportunity to grow a team in the future. Highly visible role to Executive team and ownership group.
Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update Actuarial's MG-ALFA model.
  • Maintain and update institutional value and value of new business economic models
  • Perform monthly analysis of various financial projections and reporting requirements including, but not limited to, Asset Adequacy Testing and PBR
  • Perform stress testing for ORSA and CISSA Reports
  • Annual financial reporting and budget planning
  • Assist with New business pricing
  • Oversight of policyholder service support activity
  • Manage 1 or more Actuarial students.
  • Ad-hoc projects.
Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of MG-ALFA is a must.
  • Knowledge of life insurance and annuity products.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Visual Basic skills a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience. Ability to interface with external parties such as clients, brokers and consultants.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple projects.
  • Adheres to high standards for accuracy and pays attention to details.
  • Takes ownership for results, able to pro-actively identify product management needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • 5-10 years of insurance and/or actuarial experience
  • FSA or ASA
