As a Consulting Project Management Manager you will be accountable to our Dynamics and Power Platform team and customers for execution of transformational solution delivery. This accountability begins with understanding the solution space and methodologies to implement complex business applications in the enterprise space. The role is a management role, so balancing your time and focus across your team with their development journey and client delivery commitments will be critical to success in the role.

Account Delivery Management

  1. Supports strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the customer portfolio, often as part of a steering committee, to ensure service delivery is on track and major issues are being anticipated, identified, and managed.
  2. Supports new customer opportunities in partnership with Sales with highly significant or global impacts for Microsoft.
  3. Communicates current view of delivery to customer executives on regular cadence, as appropriate.

Intellectual Property (IP)

  1. Ensures the use, reuse, and creation of intellectual property (IP) in delivery, as applicable.

Relationship Development

  1. Manages stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
  2. Resolves issues identified and escalated by Consulting Project Managers.
  3. Understands customer and subcontractor obligations, and engages in obligation management.
  4. Oversees through Project Health Reviews that internal and external compliance requirements have been met.

Contracting

  1. Reviews and approves original contract and subsequent change requests.

Presales

  1. Adds input into deal construct and deliverability early in the pre-sales cycle.

Planning

  1. Sets expectations through the Solution Review Meeting conditions of approval.

Monitoring and Controlling

  1. Steps in to take remedial actions with Consulting Project Managers on specific engagements if key performance indicators (KPIs) or certain metrics are not at the quality levels required.
  2. Acts as primary escalation point for any technical issues.

Closure

  1. Validates the customer sign off on Proof of Delivery/Delivery Acceptance Form.

Portfolio Management

  1. Acts as centralized management for one or more project portfolio(s) to achieve strategic objectives.

Business Growth

  1. Owns the financial health of the portfolio.

Delivery Management

  1. Ensures the right mix of internal/external resources are assigned in engagements.

Qualifications


Required/Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 6+ years' experience in consulting/professional services delivery, project management, practice management, or related field.
  2. 3+ years people management experience.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 12+ years' experience in consulting/professional services delivery.
  2. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  3. Agile certification.

Consulting Project Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,500 - $205,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,000 - $222,000 per year.
