Salary Range: $68,800 - $106,600 annually and is dependent on experience.

Our retrospective claims review is contingency based with no upfront costs to our clients and utilizes our proprietary system, staff, and resources to recover revenue. Our approach leverages both technology and people, and our findings go straight to our clients’ bottom line. Boost provides our clients with claims data showing payer performance and root cause analysis of denial and underpayment issues to use as leverage when negotiating with payers and assessing their overall business performance.

Position Summary:

As the Supervisor of our Zero-Balance Review team, you will lead 3-5 client engagements, overseeing operational staff and ensuring client needs are being met. You will also work closely with upper leadership to create revenue targets and develop efficient departmental workflow and staffing. An ideal candidate has experience in Zero-Balance Review/Underpayment Recovery within Hospital Revenue Cycle Management and a desire to both lead client relationships and manage internal operations. Potential for quarterly travel based on company and client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of contracts between hospitals and insurance carriers to identify areas of lost revenue.
  • Model claims data to contracts and create in-depth audit priorities that align with client needs and internal revenue targets.
  • Lead 3-5 client engagements and oversee operational staff assigned to those teams; ensure client communication and meeting preparation.
  • Collaborate with upper leadership to set revenue targets; key figure in planning and structuring departmental workflow and staffing.
  • Manage up to 5 direct reports' daily operations. Answer questions and provide direction in real time.
  • Manage staff performance by providing regular feedback, performance reviews, 1:1 meetings; ensuring members are meeting a minimum hourly rate expectations and resolving any staff-related issues.
  • Oversee and engage in the hiring and training of staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years Zero-Balance Recovery experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough understanding of reimbursement methodologies (managed care contracts, Medicare and Medicaid); experience may include negotiating, auditing, or modeling for contract negotiation purposes.
  • Self-directed and organized with superior analytical and problem-solving skills; must be comfortable with large datasets; experience with Microsoft software/SQL or comparable databases platforms.
  • Proven leader, experience managing teams; ability to motivate and train junior staff.

Compensation:

Base salary range: $68,800 - $106,600 annually and is dependent on experience.
