The position includes financial responsibility for business pursuit, award, Appropriation Requests, Project launch financial reporting and cost optimization, Gate Review financials, and ongoing Change Management costing.

Commercial Finance Analyst position responsible for Automotive and Commercial Vehicle Interiors projects. The position includes financial responsibility for business pursuit, award, Appropriation Requests, Project launch financial reporting and cost optimization, Gate Review financials, and ongoing Change Management costing.
- Responsible for the analysis of Project Profitability and improvement initiatives
- Provides financial support for customer quotation activities and during the Project Development Process
- Responsible for the preparation and business case development of Capital and Tooling projects
- Responsible for the financial oversight of the Product Development Teams
- Responsible for evaluation of new business opportunities and risks through scenario modeling and financial analysis
- Support key Interiors goals and activities:
- Project profitability analysis
- Support market trends/ benchmarking/ competitor analysis
- Partner with regional teams to develop plant cost structure analysis, burden rates, process rates, etc.
- Prepare cost estimate and financial analysis consolidation for quotes within the product group
- Support product and standard costing model development
- Inteva cost data translation to customer cost formats (support)
- Prepare Financials for AR while facilitating approval
- Make vs. buy analysis for vertical integration opportunities
- Support Program Management with commercial assumptions management, program financial reporting, and program controlling (profitability, change management, improvement initiatives)
- PDP: Program cost performance versus imperatives
- Participate in the regional Budget Process Capital and Tooling forecast consolidation and reduction plans
- Provide advice and counsel to product development team members on the actions to be taken to improve financial results, maximize opportunities, and risk management
- Travel is required up to 5% both domestically and internationally to support the business, although this is an estimation and may increase or decrease depending on the needs of the business.
Required :
- 5+ years of progressive experience in similar role
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Understanding and experience working with the entire business value chain
- Proven ability to see how decisions impact the long-term viability and effectiveness of the organization
- Business-minded individual with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Motivated, self-starter with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global environment
- Strategic and independent thinker with the ability to advise and influence peers and reports
- Understanding of financial statements and experience with financial projections and modeling
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with analytical & challenging mindset
- Ability to link operational and business issues to financial results and strategy
- Attention to detail and a hands-on proactive attitude
- Finance, operations, and business experience preferred
- Familiarity with Interiors product offerings desired
- Experience in manufacturing and automotive desired
