Position Overview
The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is seeking an experienced executive assistant for the economic research division. In this role, the executive assistant will support the executive vice president and director of research and other members of the leadership team in carrying out the division’s monetary policy responsibilities, manage the policies and procedures for handling confidential information, and coordinate schedules and delivery of products prepared for the Bank President and Board of Directors.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the executive vice president and director of research. Serve as first point of contact, triage requests and correspondence, intercept and handle administrative tasks, monitor correspondence for sensitive and priority items, manage calendar, schedule and coordinate meetings with the ability to prioritize meetings and resolve scheduling conflicts, handle travel arrangements. Work closely with the Office of the President to ensure alignment of department priorities and to facilitate support for Bank President.
- Support Director and other department executives with production workflows, coordinate department deliverables and assist Director with managing and communicating deadlines. Support, maintain, and/or prepare complex and confidential documents including memoranda, reports, presentations, and correspondence, at a high level of quality. Anticipate executive needs and proactively provide administrative support. Assist in completing reports and correspondence to Bank management, the Board of Directors, and officials in the Federal Reserve System.
- Manage the operational policies, procedures, and controls for handling confidential information. Facilitate access to confidential information, ensure security compliance, and coordinate annual reviews.
- Provide administrative support for Director and other department executives participation in internal and external meetings, committees, and other business activities. Act as point of contact and foster relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide logistics support for recruiting activities; work closely with department recruiting team and senior management to organize fly-outs, interview schedules, and manage candidate visit days and reimbursements.
- Contribute to division, Bank, and/or FRS project teams and work groups by completing special assignments. Perform ad-hoc executive level assignments and projects as required. Assist department support functions as needed. Assist in planning and executing meetings, events and special projects. Seek greater efficiency and effectiveness in areas of responsibility and suggest improvements in division processes and procedures.

Knowledge and Experience:
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of an Associate’s degree and a minimum of 7 - 9 years of job related experience:
- Position requires unassailable discretion, a mature and professional demeanor, organizational savviness, and excellent judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Strong analytical and technological skills, expertise with MS Office products required.
- Ability to anticipate, prioritize, multi-task, and self-direct.
- Attention to detail and strong planning and forward-thinking capabilities.

All employees assigned to this position will be subject to FBI fingerprint/ criminal background and Patriot Act/ Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) watch list checks at least once every five years.
