WAGE RANGE*: $65 - 69/hr. W2

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of event planning, conference management or program management experience
  • Expertise with events and/or marketing within the financial services industry preferred.
  • Experience interfacing and negotiating with groups at all levels and across multiple functions, including senior sales managers and corporate executives.
  • Highly customer focused and willing to provide services to both internal partners and external clients.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment; adaptable and reliable with a strong 'can do' attitude.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Cvent, Salesforce and Marketo preferred.

Job Description

  • You will be responsible for leading and coordinating strategic and tactical event program development in support of our strategic program needs within the overall SPDR SPY ETF marketing plan.
  • You will manage and maintain relationships with key partners across the SPDR business.
  • You will lead and collaborate with internal teams and/or vendors to successfully design, plan and execute proprietary events, third-party conferences and sponsorships while ensuring consistent brand/event standards required to build a best-in-class SPY Event Program.
  • You will ensure all event components are impactful, integrated into broader SPY marketing plans and follow guidelines to showcase thought leadership across channels.
  • You will collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, and external clients to identify key themes, goals and messaging for each event.
  • Build project plans, lead planning calls, and coordinate with all business partners to meet deliverables.
  • Provide strategic, innovative thinking to connect the dots around key event components including presenters, brand message, locations and overall attendee experience.
  • Help manage/oversee all presenters for events and conference participation -- including coordinating speaker requests, consulting on presentation content/creation and coordinating speaker prep to ensure alignment with messaging and goals.
  • Diligently track budgets/spend to ensure events and conferences are within designated budget amounts and industry spending limits.
  • Dedicated to measuring return on investment for all programs and provide monthly analysis reporting around any SPY-related post-event sales activity.
