Job Description
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our growing team! In this role, you assist in maintaining the organization and the structure of the Accounts Payable department. You will interact closely with other Accounts Payable team members, as well as other Finance functions such as Treasury, Accounting, Audit and others. You will also backup the Concur Expense Analyst by assisting with processing expense reports and troubleshooting any issues. This position will work a hybrid schedule and work in our Charlotte office two to three days per week.
As an Accounts Payable Analyst, your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Manage the Accounts Payable email box
  • Sort, scan, and distribute incoming mail as needed
  • Manage the daily check run, including researching any exceptions
  • Initiate void/stop-payment requests
  • Review incoming invoice batches for accuracy on a daily basis
  • Process vendor setup and maintenance requests
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to resolve payment blocks
  • Ensure all supporting payable documentation is properly retained
  • Update Accounts Payable processes and policies as needed
  • Create tickets with IT, regarding any issues impeding the AP workstream
  • Complete internal/external audit requests in a timely manner
  • Draft and coordinate company-wide emails on behalf of Accounts Payable
  • Generate, review, analyze and maintain Accounts Payable reporting on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with Accounting and provide critical input for certain period-end accruals
  • Actively promote exceptional customer service standards; develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Serve as a backup resource for other AP team members as needed
  • Assist Accounts Payable Senior Manager with ad-hoc analyses and projects associated with system upgrades and implementations
  • Maintain paperless files and documentation thoroughly and accurately within AP SharePoint folder
  • Provide a high level of customer service for all internal and external customers
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or Administrator in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of basic Accounts Payable Principles and a minimum of 3 years AP experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Outlook and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with employees in a professional manner
  • Must possess the ability to work independently, make decisions, take appropriate actions, and follow through tasks to completion within a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organization skills
  • Ability to safeguard confidential information
  • Must live in Charlotte, NC region
BONUS POINTS FOR:
  • SAP / Oracle / other comparable ERP experience
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a department that is growing in terms of number of disbursements and total dollar disbursement
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
