Director of Sales, Rocky Mountain Region / Salt Lake City, UT
RxSight is an ophthalmic medical technology corporation headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California that has commercialized the world’s first and only adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) that is customized after cataract surgery. The company’s mission is to revolutionize the premium cataract surgery experience by allowing surgeons to partner with their patients to achieve optimized results for every unique eye.
OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Vice President of US Sales, the Director of Sales, Rocky Mountain Region is responsible for all the sales within the specified region and will design strategic sales plans, assess costs and competition, identify key markets, stay on top of emerging trends, as well as collaborate with teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional negotiation and leadership skills, along with being an excellent communicator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and motivate staff to improve customer service with clients.
- Design and implement strategic plans to reach sales targets.
- Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty.
- Develop and promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives.
- Draft detailed and accurate sales reports.
- Work with customers to better understand their business needs and goals.
- Assess costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices.
- Estimate sales volume and profit for current and new products.
- Establish a sales training program to train new employees.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales management.
- 10+ years’ experience in director or outside sales.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices.
- Strong prospecting skills and excellent closing skills.
- Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will not have immediate supervisory requirements but based on business needs, the candidate will lead a sales team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales management.
- 10+ years’ experience in director or outside sales.
- Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Word Processing.
- Spreadsheet Software.
- Design Software.
- Project Management System.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
