We are seeking a Project Manager/CMT Technician to join our Highland, IN team! Come join us!


Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:


• Assist in Scheduling CMT Field activities

• Liaison with client contacts, Atlas technicians, Operations Manager, and other office Project Managers

• Meet with project superintendents for meetings, as appropriate

• Responsible for assisting in field training and being main trainer of new CMT Field Technicians for technical testing procedures and operational processes. Document all training in the laboratory Quality System Training Records files.

• Assisting the Operations Manager with Maintaining log of field equipment calibrations, sign in/out logs for field equipment.

• Maintain appropriate ACI Certifications for Laboratory testing (Strength, Aggregate, etc.)

• Assist management and field staff with challenging field activities

• Other non-specific duties to assist in the maintenance and expansion of the CMT Department.

• Learn new skills (examples below)

o Fireproofing

o Wood Framing

o Fire Stopping

o High Strength Bolting

• Complete ICC certification, preferably in Masonry and Structural Steel, and other internal training as assigned.

• Act as Assistant Branch Safety Officer with focus on field activity, Asphalt/soil/concrete Laboratory processes, and all tasks performed by Field Staff when supporting any laboratory activity. Coordinate with General Laboratory Manager and Operations Manager to support overall laboratory safety. Complete day-to-day, month-to-month, year-to-year tasks as required.

• Act as Assistant Radiation Safety Officer. Complete day-to-day, month-to-month, year-to-year tasks as required.

• Continue to support other atypical inspection processes for other offices as appropriate (i.e. Special Projects or CMT support when appropriate)

• Support geotechnical locating efforts, drilling oversite when required by client, etc.

• Support regional client inventorying processes in conjunction with responsibilities above.


Minimum Requirements:


• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills

• Good reasoning, mathematical, organizational, and customer service skills


Technical Requirements:


• Individual must be well organized and able to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment and work well with others

• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook

• Possess strong communications and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with limited supervision at times


Other Miscellaneous Qualities:


• Ability to travel (rarely), and less than 10% of the time.

• The work is in office and in field.

• Position could be flex, part-time, or full-time.

• General CMT/geotechnical engineering support experience preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
