Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg in Decatur, IL

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment.
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years’ experience required. First-timers not accepted.
**License:** Active IL license required or in application process with ETA to apply.
**Certifications:** BLS required. AHA and Red Cross only (RQI cards not accepted).
**Must-Have:**
- Medical/Surgical experience.
- Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response experience, including telemetry and rapid response teams.
- Gastrointestinal skills such as Colostomy care and Feeding tube management.
- Genitourinary/Renal experience like Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management and Renal failure care.
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy skills including Accessing Ports and Central line blood draw.
- Medication Administration skills including Heparin, Insulin, and PCA.
- Respiratory case skills such as CPAP/BiPAP and Tracheostomy Management.
- Professional knowledge in areas like Isolation Precautions and Wound Care/Wound Vac.
- Proficiency in Cerner charting system.
**Job Description:**
- Responsible for patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit in a Level II Trauma center.
- Work every other weekend.
- Will float within the scope to accommodate department needs.
- Engage in telemetry-remote monitoring and participate in emergency response teams.
- Perform gastrointestinal, genitourinary, renal, and respiratory case management as required.
- Administer IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medications as needed.
- Adhere to isolation precautions and wound care protocols.
- Utilize Cerner for documenting patient care.
- Open to a later start date and accommodating block schedules upon discussion with the manager.
- Required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- Participate in virtual orientation and annual modules.
