Job Title Manual Assembler II FLSA Status Non-Exempt Position Summary A Manual Assembler II is responsible of performing highly complex, repetitive, manual assembly tasks. The assembly tasks for which this individual is responsible are typically comprised of multiple-steps, difficult operations, and may involve complex testing and decision-making. The assembler is also responsible of ensuring medical devices are assembled with the highest quality possible. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Able to perform complex functional testing and well-versed in computer literacy. • Capable of using test and investigation data to determine appropriate course of action for product manufacture, rework, and refurbishment. • Capable of making process adjustments within procedural limits to ensure product meets quality standards • Operating within a small margin of error, the assembler will be required to frequently assemble very small parts, including electronics with or without the use of magnification tools, hand tools, fixtures, and/or equipment • Able to learn highly complex operations easily and quickly • Able to demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in performing multiple manual operations of high complexity. Highly complex operations: o Capable of understanding specification drawings. o Involves very difficult tasks with multiple steps o May involve complex testing and troubleshooting of electronic devices. o May assist lead or other support groups on projects • Able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements to manually assemble small parts using hand tools, fixtures, and/or equipment • Ability to perform tasks with the assistance of microscopes • Complete production records and work order documentation as needed • Perform work order set ups in electronic batch record, data acquisition, and inventory management systems • Weigh count, package and label finished product • Keep work area clean Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications • Able to read and understand procedures • Basic Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience preferred • Knowledge of inventory management systems • Basic math skills Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent • 3 years’ experience preferred Minimum Qualifications • Must be 18 years of age • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Travel Requirements • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time Physical Requirements and Work Environment • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear • This job operates in a clean room environment • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for the duration of the shift • Must be able to repetitively move and lift objects of up to 20 lbs • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements • Will Use solvents, glue, or solder • Must be able to perform visual inspections with and without the aid of magnification tools ICU Medical is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
