As a Financial Analyst , you’ll be supporting one of several functional areas including but not limited to Merchandising, Marketing, Digital and Technology, Selling Channels, Supply Chain, Real Estate, Enterprise Finance, Financial Services or Capital. The focus of the Finance Analyst will be on driving financial performance through effective planning, analysis, and performance management. These highly collaborative and cross-functional roles provide ample opportunity to have a meaningful impact on Best Buy’s growing business.


This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.


What You’ll Do

  1. Support our financial rhythms including monthly forecasts, month-end variance analysis, management reporting, annual budgeting, and long-range financial planning.
  2. Gather data, work with spreadsheets and financial models, and develop a solid understanding of the relevant functional area.
  3. Provide input into financial statement analysis and decision-making processes.
  4. Identify areas for process improvement and provide ideas to leaders.
  5. Cultivate finance/business relationships, which include learning the business, responding to evolving priorities, and understanding the impacts of decisions on key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  1. 6 months or more of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  2. Basic proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  2. High level of ethics, integrity, judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
  3. Ability to thrive in a collaborative and cross-functional team environment.
  4. Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Sumifs, Pivottables).
  5. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  6. Detail-oriented with ability to spot and resolve issues.
  7. Proactive, self-starter who can work independently within set objectives.
