Job Summary:
Designs, builds, implements, and maintains data processing pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a variety of data sources.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develops robust and scalable solutions that transform data into a useful format for analysis, enhances data flow, and enables end users to consume and analyze data.
- Writes complex SQL queries to support analytical needs.
- Collaborates with engineers, data scientists, data analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and coded data pipelines.
- Works with structured and unstructured data from a variety of data stores.
- Documents data sources, data processes, and data products.
- Develops tests and quality checks that ensure data quality is consistent.
- May recommend measures to ensure data accuracy, monitoring, and refining the performance of data engineering systems.
- Ensures data tools and data products align with larger vision for the enterprise data office.
- Assists with errors by performing root cause analysis for external and internal systems.
- Optimizes data engineering processes to reduce bottlenecks and slow performance.
- Develops schemas, tables, and outputs that assist stakeholders’ specific analytics, data science, machine learning, and other needs.
- May evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for data infrastructure and processing.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years’ relevant.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college).
