Job Summary:

Designs, builds, implements, and maintains data processing pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a variety of data sources.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develops robust and scalable solutions that transform data into a useful format for analysis, enhances data flow, and enables end users to consume and analyze data.
  2. Writes complex SQL queries to support analytical needs.
  3. Collaborates with engineers, data scientists, data analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and coded data pipelines.
  4. Works with structured and unstructured data from a variety of data stores.
  5. Documents data sources, data processes, and data products.
  6. Develops tests and quality checks that ensure data quality is consistent.
  7. May recommend measures to ensure data accuracy, monitoring, and refining the performance of data engineering systems.
  8. Ensures data tools and data products align with larger vision for the enterprise data office.
  9. Assists with errors by performing root cause analysis for external and internal systems.
  10. Optimizes data engineering processes to reduce bottlenecks and slow performance.
  11. Develops schemas, tables, and outputs that assist stakeholders’ specific analytics, data science, machine learning, and other needs.
  12. May evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for data infrastructure and processing.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: 3 years’ relevant.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college).
