Description

  • Oversee all plant operations, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, safety, and warehousing.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency goals.
  • Ensure production schedules are met, while maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.
  • Ensure full compliance with USDA and FDA regulations, including HACCP, GMP, SOP, and other applicable food safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure that the plant complies with all OSHA, USDA, and company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee audits and inspections, both internal and external, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and manage the plant's budget, ensuring cost controls and profitability.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a management role within a USDA-regulated meat processing facility.
  • Strong understanding of USDA, HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
  • Experience with production scheduling, plant operations, and process optimization.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop large teams, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a results-driven mindset.
  • HACCP Certification, Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
