Commercial HVAC Sales Estimator

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Sales Estimator to join our team in Arlington Heights, IL.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of HVAC systems. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial HVAC projects, interpreting blueprints and specifications, and collaborating with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects.
  2. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare bid estimates.
  3. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers to determine project requirements and ensure estimates meet their needs.
  4. Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  6. Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and regulations.
  7. Present estimates to clients and assist in negotiating contracts.
  8. Track and analyze project costs and provide regular updates to management.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Commercial HVAC Sales Estimator or similar role.
  2. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
  3. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  8. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
