Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the successful candidate will oversee and manage M365 collaboration capabilities and services at a global level, including the establishment of this global service, to ensure smooth communication and collaboration across the organization. This role will play a lead role in the development and execution of the global collaboration M365 function, cultivate a team that will support business requirements, and will achieve the objectives of the Global Collaboration strategy. The role will be based in either Europe or US.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the global collaboration strategy and future roadmap in line with business goals and user needs across the regions/divisions.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of global processes and policies and the adoption of the collaboration platform across the organization, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and data protection regulations.
  • Set the standards/strategy and monitor tenant health, performance, adoption, and scalability.
  • Set the standards/strategy and monitor tenant settings, including user access, permissions, and licenses.
  • Set the standards/strategy and monitor the configuration of collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams) to optimize productivity and troubleshoot issues related to collaboration services.
  • Foster collaboration across the regions, facilitate knowledge sharing, and best practices with both technology teams and the business, whilst driving initiatives to improve collaboration tools and processes.
  • Act as a point of escalation for the M365 Business Partners, oversee customer & vendor management at a regional/divisional level ensuring services are fit for purpose, scalable and driving customer value.
  • Evaluate, manage, and optimize vendor performance and overall relationship to drive enhanced efficiency, user experience and cost-effectiveness on behalf of CRH.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure data protection and compliance and implement security measures (e.g., multi-factor authentication, encryption). Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
  • Be accountable for budgeting, expenditure, and financial management across the function, ensuring value for money and adherence to the recharge model and approach.
  • Oversee the global collaboration team development, evaluating talent and skills aligned with evolving capability needs and proactively addressing risks and gaps.
  • Lead, motivate and empower the global collaboration team, optimize collaboration, and maximize effectiveness between teams to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of technology environment and infrastructure across CRH regions/divisions, including strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services with the capabilities to lead a global service delivery model.
  • Demonstrates strong integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Understands security best practices and ensures compliance.

Experience & Education

  • At least 15 years relevant experience, including working as a member of senior technology team in complex organizations of similar scale/size.
  • Experience of leading an organization through large scale change including delivery of significant technology program(s).
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification, preferably at master’s level or alternatively have significant experiential knowledge to offset formal qualification.
