Key responsibilities include:

  1. Administering all phases of the recruiting process including ad creation & placement, interviews, background checks & offers.
  2. Completing compensation surveys.
  3. Performing a variety of complex & routine administrative duties in support of the department.
  4. Updating the HR webpage.
  5. Assisting with benefit and new hire orientations.
  6. Assisting with special projects as needed.

Minimum qualifications include: an Associate’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field, one to three years’ experience in human resources or labor relations, knowledge of the principles of human resource management, labor relations, employment laws and practices. The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, to research and organize data, to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with retirees and others tactfully and diplomatically and being proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point is also required. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and/or previous Municipal experience is a plus. The salary range is between $56,000 and $72,000.
