Role: Hospitality - POS Technology Architect
Job Summary:
Responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of technology systems and solutions within a hospitality store environment. This role ensures that all technology aspects align with business goals, enhance customer experience, and streamline operations.
Responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy: Develop and execute technology strategies for restaurants including hardware, software, and network solutions.
- System Design: Design and architect technology systems that support POS (Point of Service), inventory management, kitchen management, guest services, and third-party partners.
- Integration: Ensure seamless integration of various technology systems and platforms.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage technology vendors and third-party solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of technology issues.
- Compliance: Ensure that all technology solutions comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve store operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with store management, IT teams, and other stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Business Development: Work closely with sales leadership to drive and support new pursuits.
Skills:
- Technical proficiency in system design and architecture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with project management and vendor relations.
- Knowledge of Hospitality industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with cloud services, SaaS, and current full stack languages such as Python and JavaScript.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (master's preferred).
- Proven experience in technology architecture and implementation within the hospitality sector.
- Strong understanding of POS systems, inventory management, kitchen management, and guest service technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $132,000 to $155,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
