Job specification

• Lead and manage the nursing staff within the operating room, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Oversee surgical patient care activities, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery throughout all surgical procedures.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the operating room, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize surgical services.
• Serve as a key leader and responder during surgical emergencies, providing direction and support to the team in high-pressure situations.

Candidate requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Utah or a Registered Nurse compact license from participating compact states.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
• CNOR certification is required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of leadership clinical experience in a hospital operating room; trauma-level experience is preferred. Note: Surgery Center experience will not be considered.
