Job Description

We’re currently looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Commercial Director to unlock our next phase of growth in the USA. This role is currently an Individual Contributor, reporting to the USA CEO of the company. The ideal candidate is a team player, strategic thinker, and world-class executor driven by making an impact.

The Commercial Director is responsible for:

  • Conducting regular market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and consumer research to develop and execute strategic plans for product category
  • Curating a diverse and compelling assortment of products within the category
  • Building and maintaining relationships with partners
  • Collaborating with the company’s supply team to forecast demand
  • Monitoring category performance metrics
  • Collaborating with the company’s marketing team to develop and execute marketing plans for product category
  • Providing insights from market research and consumer feedback, guiding the development of products
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical business practices

Qualifications

For a candidate to be successful in this role, this person should have:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial or sales management role within the outdoor industry
  • Strong understanding of the US outdoor market landscape, consumer behavior, and industry trends
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach
  • A passion for outdoor sports and brand-building
