Fitness Connection is now hiring for a Sales Manager position. The Sales Manager provides daily, weekly, and monthly direction for our Fitness Consultant team, driving new members to change lives through fitness. The SM must lead by example in creating and maintaining a strong sales culture in his/her club and be a team player who believes in the power of changing lives through fitness.

PEOPLE LEADER
Leads a high performing sales team, maintain a focus on coaching, feedback, and accountability to achieve club sales results
  • Recruits, hires and promotes Fitness Consultants in partnership with Club Manager
  • Develops and trains new and newly promoted Fitness Consultants
  • Identifies high potential talent for growth Consistently recognizes and rewards great performance Provides coaching and feedback to build competency
  • Maintains strong and consistent people practices with all teammates, taking appropriate action as needed
  • Creates sales schedules to ensure accurate coverage and efficient use labor hours to submit for CM approval
RESULTS DRIVER
Achieves club and personal revenue goals for membership, service, and proshop
  • Leads execution of day-to-day sales activities
  • Manage and direct all sales team activities to ensure that revenue and minimum production requirements achieved
  • Manage the planning and promotion of special events for the club Break down and distribute daily sales revenue goals to entire sales team
  • Communicate consistently to Club Leadership the current revenue and production updates as determined by business needs
  • Holds team accountable to Fitness Connection systems and standards Provides feedback and support around club appearance & maintenance Ensures consistent retail program execution
PERSONAL IMPACT
Create and execute proactive plans while coaching and leading from the front every day and adjusting based on results in real time
  • Ensures revenue and expense goals are met
  • Generate sales leads through member referrals, networking, formal presentation, and phone calls Conduct club tours for guests and potential members
  • Consistently achieve or surpass personal and club sales goal Promote and sell Fitness Connection products/memberships and products
  • Ensure accurate records of all leads, referrals, upgrades, sales prospects and promotions Complete all necessary paperwork properly efficiently and accurately
  • Stay up-to-date on Company pricing and promotion schedule.
Our Sales Managers are a member of a single club location leadership team and directly supervise a portion of the hourly teammates in that location. Sales Managers work hours range from 7 am to 10 pm and will include weekend, evening and early morning hours as the business requires. Some travel may be required for both regional and national meetings, and/or to provide assistance at another location.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree preferred
  • For external hire, minimum of 12 months of similar experience with a proven record of success required, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • For internal promotion, minimum of six months as a high-performing Fitness Consultant with Fitness Connection; must be in good company standing and have a proven record of performance
  • Knowledge of the Fitness industry as well as the necessary sales acumen
  • Knowledge and skills in staffing with proven record of results
  • Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and able to adapt to new systems easily
  • Valid state driver's license and clean driving record is required
  • Criminal background check will be performed as a term of employment
  • Position duties require daily standing, walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, and reaching
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business-related documents such as financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to respond verbally and in writing, to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to district management and club leadership and to members of the business community
  • Fluent in written and spoken English required, addition of Spanish skills a plus
