 Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range is $80,000-$90,000
  • Benefits include bonus potential, health, dental and vision insurance, 401k with 4% company match, equity shares, sick and vacation leave


Position Summary:  This Central Planning Manager is responsible for managing the entire production planning cycle, from scheduling to inventory control, and ensuring collaboration across various functions such as co-packer coordination, customer service, procurement, and production monitoring. The ideal candidate will be an expert in inventory management, possess strong analytical skills, and be adept at managing production efficiency while minimizing costs and maximizing service levels. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where the Central Planner will directly contribute to the company's operational success and customer satisfaction.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize capacity.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production plans, adjusting schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or production issues.
  • Monitor and manage aged inventory to minimize obsolescence and ensure optimal inventory turnover.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify and address potential issues related to aging products.
  • Work closely with co-packers to align production schedules, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Communicate production requirements and address any issues related to co-packer operations.
  • Collaborate with customer service to understand customer requirements and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Work with the procurement team to manage raw material availability and maintain supply continuity.
  • Oversee the scanning of production to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of production data.
  • Monitor all production lines to ensure adherence to planned schedules and efficient resource utilization.
  • Manage the capacity of cartoning machines to ensure efficient operation and minimize bottlenecks.
  • Assist in accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.
  • Ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO) to minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with procurement and production departments to manage inventory levels.
  • Monitor e-commerce inventory levels and coordinate restocking as needed.
  • Follow safety policies and protocols; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
  • Uphold highest standards of food safety and product quality through observance of HACCP, GMP, and allergen protocols; promptly report food safety and quality issues as necessary
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibility:   This position will manage production scheduling for Bobo’s and Co-manufacturing facilities 


Qualifications / Education / Experience Desired:

  • Proven experience in production planning, inventory management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with co-packers, procurement, and customer service teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production monitoring tools is preferred
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within small and large, diverse teams
  • Comfortable with fast-paced and dynamic work environment


Education/Experience Desired:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food warehousing, logistics or production
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable.


Language/Mathematical/Reasoning Ability:

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, freight costs, dimensions, and volume.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess situations and make effective decisions under pressure.


Supervision Given:

  • This position reports to the VP Operations
  • The position holder is expected to be able to work with minimal oversight at times, able to confidently handle situations on their own

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental warehouse conditions.


Work Location:  This position will work on-site at our facility in Loveland, CO

Travel Required:  Limited – May be required to travel locally on an infrequent basis.
