JOB MISSION:

New Balance is looking for an Energy Product Manager to join our growing Lifestyle team. As Energy Product Manager, Lifestyle Footwear you will support the product management team in their execution of the global product plan for the Lifestyle Footwear Strategic Business Unit. You will support the Energy Business Unit by working with cross-functional teams from project initiation, through the GTM process, to consumer purchase supporting the intersection of sport and culture. You will create ongoing energy and excitement in the marketplace for the brand and lifestyle priorities, as well as connecting to culture with relevant partners.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Under the Sr Product Manager's leadership, support on delivering Product Creation strategy that drives strategic growth and revenue for the Lifestyle category.
  2. Lead and manage partner relationships inclusive of product alignment, meeting schedules, and cross-functional internal relationships.
  3. Work closely with Design, Product Development, and packaging to drive operational excellence. Ensure product creation efforts and samples are executed well and on time.
  4. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the product creation process, products, and systems while adhering to the product creation calendar.
  5. Influence and partner with cross-functional global teams based on market data and consumer insights.
  6. Track, monitor, and report project progress and ensure accurate information in the product management system and project tracker.
  7. Deliver sell-in decks to the merchandising team optimizing the go-to-market process.
  8. Partner with Global Marketing's product needs to help deliver best-in-class project campaigns.
  9. Conduct market and trend research to gain a full understanding of the needs of the consumer and evolving marketplace.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  1. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
  2. Experience in retail, merchandising, product management, or product marketing within the footwear industry desired.
  3. Ability to understand consumers' needs and mindset as well as a passion for product within the lifestyle category.
  4. Knowledgeable about global consumer trends and key brands/retailers/competitors.
  5. Ability to work with others as part of a cross-functional team, build consensus, and achieve results across a variety of distinct groups.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Strong presentation skills; confident presenting in front of large global audiences.
  8. Highly proficient with MS Office suite.
  9. Domestic and international travel.
