Genesis10 is currently seeking a ServiceNow Developer with our client located in Austin, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day operations to assist in the maintenance, documentation, and administration of the ServiceNow core ITSM (Incident, Change, Problem, Asset, Request), custom tables and core features, such as knowledge bases)
End-to-end management of the ServiceNow platform, including administration of all components, configuration management, knowledgebase and libraries management, reporting, interfaces, licenses, portals and the overall health of the platform
Assist in the maintenance and administration of the ServiceNow core ITSM modules (Incident, Change, Problem, Asset, Request), custom tables and core features, such as knowledge bases
Troubleshoot ServiceNow incidents and resolve customer issues
Build and maintain Request Items across the organization
Assist customers with building and maintaining reports and dashboards as needed to support IT and the business with insight into ServiceNow data
Consult on designs and assist with the development of new ServiceNow capabilities and enhancements to existing functionality
Adapt ServiceNow test suites and develop new suites to provide regression testing and tests for ServiceNow enhancements
Perform QA testing for new functionality beyond the test suites, as necessary to ensure product release quality
Create and configure basic ServiceNow programming components, such as Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Client Scripts, including basic JavaScript functions
Implement and maintain ServiceNow portal pages
Assist with documentation
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer technology, business, or related field
5-8 years' experience as a ServiceNow developer and/or administrator
5-8 years' experience as a developer in an Agile, Waterfall or hybrid environment
5-8 years' experience developing in JavaScript or similar languages
Experience with QA testing and building test suites
Experience developing and maintaining web portals, including HTML and ESS, with ServiceNow Service Portal experience
Ability to troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products/applications
Understanding of system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk, security guidelines and architecture standards
Logical thinker with ability to process and synthesize complex and detailed business information and processes
Ability to work independently, lead and facilitate group work sessions
Passionate/enthusiastic about problem solving and leveraging a variety of tools (including technology) to improve processes and service delivery
Strong customer service, analytical and research skills
Must have a passion for championing excellence in customer experience
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, Visio, Team Services, SharePoint
Desired skills:
Change management experience
