Haven Spine & Pain is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care by performing clinical tasks within the MA scope of practice and contributing to the healthcare team through other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions
- Prepares patients for examination by performing data collection, taking vital signs, weight/height, and documenting patient health history
- Secures patient information and maintains record integrity by completing and safeguarding medical records, keeping patient information confidential
- Relays information regarding physician's orders and questions to patients as delegated by physician or licensed staff
- Schedule's procedures; verifying times; preparing charts, pre-admission and consent forms
- Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards, policies and complying with legal regulations
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Enhances reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities for improvement; establishing new processes to improve compliance

- Annual Mandatory In-Services:
- Infection control

- Continuing Education Participation Requirements:
- Obtain certification in BLS within 6 months of hire
- Attends mandatory staff meetings
- Ability to stand or sit for 8 hours in a shift
- Ability to push, pull or lift, up to 60 pounds
