Title: Teacher OR Associate Teacher

Location: Antelope Valley, CA (Lancaster OR Palmdale)

Duration: Permanent, direct hire

Target Pay Range: $22.89-28.28/hr

Teacher:

General Summary:

• Under general supervision, the Teacher promotes activities designed to stimulate learning in all developmental domains for children birth to 5 years old and encourages Family Engagement. The Teacher develops individual goals for infant, toddler, and preschool aged children, provides on-going assessment on progress, and facilitates transition activities into kindergarten. Additionally, the Teacher guides and supervises subordinate teaching staff in accordance with policies, procedures, and philosophy of Early Care and Learning.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Early Education, Child Development, Families Studies, Liberal Studies or related field
• Minimum of 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• 2 years’ experience working with families and children in a preschool setting required.

Associate Teacher:

General Summary:

• Under the general supervision, the Associate Teacher promotes activities in the classroom designed to stimulate learning in all developmental domains and encourages Family Engagement in all aspects of the program. The Associate Teacher develops individual goals for children, provides on-going assessment on progress and facilitates transition into kindergarten.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associates degree (AA/AS) or 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• 6 months of external experience or 1,000 hours of Early Care and Learning classroom experience working with families and children in a preschool or childcare setting.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
