Your Team:
Payroll is one of the most essential sectors of any company. The Global Payroll team is responsible for processing payroll in 30+ countries across the globe. We are responsible for over 7,000 employees that need to be paid accurately, on time, and given world class customer service for their paycheck and tax inquiries.
This role is to be performed in the United States as a hybrid position, with an expected presence in the Boston, MA HQ two days per week.
You will work in a team with other multi-country payroll professionals reporting directly to the Director, Global Payroll & Equity Administration. You will receive mentorship, guidance, and tips on best business practices for PTC in your day to day workload. We will build your global payroll knowledge and offer more challenging tasks and additional country responsibilities as experience increases.
Your Impact:
In this role, our new team member will be the primary owner of our North America payrolls:
United States: biweekly payroll, approx. 2600 employees
Canada: semi-monthly payroll, approx. 120 employees
Mexico & Brazil payrolls: semi-monthly payroll, approx. 20 employees
Your tasks include completing new hires, terminations, salary changes, processing bonuses, commissions, stock transactions, and other one-time payments, analyzing data & resolving discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with local legislation
As a part of the Global Payroll team you will experience:

Your Day-To-Day:
  • Lead and oversee the administration of assigned payrolls, ensuring that payrolls are paid accurately and on time
  • Ensure that the payrolls are compliant with relevant rules and legislation
  • Oversee the validation and processing of payroll data to our external payroll providers
  • Collect variable elements from HR and other business functions, including bonuses and taxable prizes
  • Control and validate payroll, ask corrections if relevant
  • Carry out problem and error analysis including period end validations
  • Respond to employee inquiries in a courteous and timely manner
  • Streamline and update existing standard work processes
  • Assist with reconciliation processes and resolution of any payroll discrepancies
  • Research and prepare special reports for management and ensure reporting needs within the company are met
  • Assist with special projects related to the payroll function
  • Maintain positive working relationships with business partners in other organizations, including Human Resources, Accounting, Legal, and Accounts Payable
  • Work with cross-functional teams on global finance initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies including local data protection regulations and other internal controls
  • Adhere to PTC's policies and procedures as well as statutory regulations
  • PTC is a publicly traded company and is subject to SOX compliance
Your Skills and Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of excel functionality (xlookup, conditional formatting, data validation, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
  • Working within strict deadlines;
  • Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks;
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentially;
  • Strong communication skills - oral and written;
  • Ability to work remotely from the team;
  • Open minded, flexible, proactive & interactive attitude;
  • Exposure to Workday HCM preferred;
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll;
  • 2-4 years experience processing United States payroll;
  • FPC designation with PAYO (fka APA) preferred
