Scope of Job:
Retention and development of Insurance Agency business and support for Insurance Agents in administration of Insurance accounts.
Primary Duties:
Acts as first point of contact for routine customer requests and inquiries, utilizing competencies and skills to provide a positive customer experience.
Supports Agents in day-to-day servicing of client accounts and managing books of business efficiently and independently. Responsible for gaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of assigned client accounts/book of business.
Develop and maintain a complete and thorough understanding of the Insurance Department Management system (Epic) and input all required data/policy information relating to the assigned book of business accurately.
Assists clients in making appropriate coverage changes, ensuring proper documentation is entered into Epic.
Maintain prospect/client file within Epic. Prepares and process binders, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and billing accurately and timely without guidance.
Handles cancellations with care, saving all accounts possible with adherence to E&O guidelines.
Works in Epic and carrier sites to assist in writing new business through quoting appropriate carriers.
Prepares proposals and applications, submitting to insureds and carriers, obtaining clients' signatures on all applications. Follows up to ensure timely responses, all in conjunction with Agent.
Inform and educates clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures, appropriately documenting all conversations in the Insurance Department Management system (Epic).
Supports the insurance renewal process for the agency by providing the complete renewal packets to designated agent, works closely with Agent(s) to service existing clients, cross referencing data for each client's policy to ensure accuracy.
Round out monoline accounts by offering quotes for additional lines of business.
Pursue professional and personal development to ensure competitive knowledge of the insurance industry whether through in-house or outside insurance industry courses and seminars.
Reviews problems and communicates with appropriate personnel to obtain information when necessary. Competently analyze, clarify, and resolve policy and account related questions from internal and external customers.
Secondary Duties:
Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.
Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization, to include The Agency Way Manual.
Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Requirements
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Post-Secondary education preferred.
Must obtain a Property and Casualty License within the first 6 months of employment.
Maintain required continuing education requirements of license(s).
CISR designation through the National Alliance for Insurance Education or willing to obtain within 18 months. Years of experience can be taken into consideration.
Obtain at least one of the additional certifications, and/or designations deemed necessary by supervisor to include but not limited to CRM, AIP, PLCS, AFIS, CLCS, SBCA, LTCP, CPCU, API, ARM, AINS, CSRM, CPRM, CIC.
Experience:
2 years' experience in related field.

Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
