JOB REQUIREMENTS

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage the entire product development process, from initial concept to production.

· Collaborate with design team to conceptualize and develop new furniture product ideas.

· Create detailed product specifications and collaborate with manufacturers to ensure product quality and cost-effectiveness.

· Oversee prototype development and testing, making necessary adjustments and refinements.

· Builds and maintains positive and collaborative relationships with suppliers.

· Able to articulate and communicate both verbal and in writing with suppliers on development changes and or expectations.

· Able to use logic to interpret design concepts and build line drawings.

· Proactively gather and analyze required information/details (i.e., line drawings, specs, photos, swatches, etc.) before disseminating to the suppliers.

· Communicates development timelines sample submissions, approvals, and revisions daily with overseas suppliers.

· Assesses development requirements with design lead to maximize costs effectiveness when sourcing.

· Assist with entering auditing, costing, pricing, dimensions, materials, parts, and supplier information in various internal systems.

· Placing initial sample purchase orders with factories, as well as manage timelines to insure on time delivery.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams such as EVP for new development, QC, Account Specialist.

· Ensure that products comply with Industry standards and regulations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and CAD, Photoshop, and 3D software a plus.

· AA degree or BA Degree from an accredited college

· Experience in furniture product development, construction and or project management.

· Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills

· Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

· Strong work ethic; punctual and reliable

· Self-driven and goal oriented

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work using principles of good communication.


WORKING CONDITIONS

· Normal for office environment

· Ability to work sitting down with 30% of walking in course of the day.
