We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact and are looking for best-in-class CNC Machinists to help maximize Starlink’s utility for communities and businesses around the globe.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for setting up, operating multi-axis CNC machines (mills and lathes) up to and including 5 axis mills and 6 axis lathesResponsible for all types of drilling, tapping, milling and turning of CNC machinesResponsible for completing machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructionsResponsible for working with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materialsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency certificate6+ years of experience with g-code, set up, operation and/or programming of CNC mill/lathe machinesPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:10+ years of horizontal mill experience10+ years of lathe experience10+ years of CNC programming experienceAbility to read and work off of a blueprint​ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be available for 2nd shift (3:30 PM to 2 AM)Ability to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as neededAbility to lift up to 25 lbs. unassistedAbility to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minAbility to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spacesAbility to work in an environment with repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distractingCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay range:CNC Machinist/Level 4: $37.00 - $45.00/hourCNC Machinist/Level 5: $42.00 - $52.00/hourYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
