JANUS Research Group is seeking a Data Architect to design a system's data models, data flow, interfaces, and infrastructure to meet the information requirements of a business or mission.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement overall organization data strategy that is in line with business processes and objectives.
- Identify data sources, both internal and external, and work out a plan for data management that is aligned with the data strategy.
- Monitor and optimize the data infrastructure.
- Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming.
- Prepare database design and architecture reports.
- Advise higher level leadership on critical data management issues.
- Consult with customers and key stakeholders to evaluate functional requirements for Artificial Intelligence and data applications.
- Collaborate with appropriate personnel to address classified data requirements and configure technical solutions to provide data integrity and security.
- Provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
- Evaluate data storage requirements, prepare, and implement data backup, recovery and secondary data storage and disaster recovery.
- Plan and manage effective storage capacity strategies.
- Confer with systems analysts, engineers, system owners, etc. to design applications for data management.
- Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.
Qualifications:
- Recommended bachelor’s degree in data management or information technology.
- Requires DoD cyber certification as an IAT level II.
- Experience aligned to DoD Cybersecurity Workforce code 653 (data architect).
Clearance:
At start must be Secret with TS/SCI eligibility for indoc and access to SCInet.
