The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Senior Director, Equipment Strategy on the Biomedical Process Excellence Team. This is a virtual position and can be located anywhere in the continental United States.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

The Senior Director of Equipment Strategy will provide strategic planning, process design, and support related to the execution of equipment strategy across all biomedical operations, ensuring that the strategy is aligned with key performance indicators of organizational product and process. The position ensures that implementation and defined activities can be carried out by execution in accordance with specified objectives for all Biomedical operations. Provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD:

  1. Drive the Biomed enterprise equipment strategy, policies, and programs. Lead equipment strategy to ensure Biomed equipment vision is carried out across all Biomedical operations. Develop, monitor, and evaluate Biomedical equipment goals and objectives in partnership with business leads.
  2. Lead identification of Biomedical equipment needs or gaps and develop appropriate solutions. Provide leadership guidance and consultation on Biomedical equipment capacity building, planning, needs assessment, etc.
  3. Establish metrics, processes and procedures, and oversight management required to ensure optimum strategy delivery and alignment with applicable KPIs.
  4. Serve as line-of-business liaison to national operations & HQ partners to support and build the equipment strategy. Support the Product and Process Excellence initiatives and efforts as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other leaders to identify and prioritize equipment strategy in alignment with process, execution, and systems needs to ensure programs/projects are managed and executed efficiently and effectively.
  6. Provide regular reports, monthly reviews, and problem-solving to support program goals.
  7. Manage a team including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and managing performance. Manage resource allocations and coordinate staff assignments. Provide effective leadership in recognizing, rewarding and motivating staff that leads to high-performance. Accountable for budgetary responsibility for the unit.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of related experience.

Management Experience: Minimum 5 years of management experience.

Skills & Abilities: Strong communicator. Results driven. Ability to learn new technologies. Ability to work on a team. Excellent team-building skills. Ability to engage a remote workforce.

Travel: Frequent travel (50%+)

*Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to the description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phones, and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

The salary range for this position is $142,000 - $156,000.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
