$8,000 SIGN-ON BONUS
FULL TIME - SCHOOL YEAR POSITION with generous benefit package.
REPORTS TO:
Special Education Supervisor or Assistant Superintendent of Special Education
ASSIGNMENT:
.20 Early On Department and .80 local districts as assigned
WORK SCHEDULE:
Five (5) days per week as per the local school district's schedule and calendar.
SALARY RANGE:
According to the terms of the Master Agreement for AFT
STARTING DATE:
As soon as possible
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To provide evaluation, consultation, and counseling services as related to the educational program of identified students with disabilities. Monthly meeting with the Early On team and other professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Candidate must meet Michigan State Department of Education criteria for full or temporary approval as a School Social Worker, have a Master's degree, and be licensed as a Master's Social Worker Clinical, or be enrolled in an approved Master's level social work program and complete the waiver application process through the Michigan Department of Education.
• Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques, writing behavior intervention plans, functional behavior analysis, and implementing positive behavioral supports.
• Knowledge of and/or willingness to develop skills in: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Love & Logic, Life Space Crisis Intervention, and other similar programs will be helpful.
• Experience with behaviorally challenged students will also be helpful.
• Demonstrate ability to work with families and other staff to support the student.
