Innova Building Advisors, LLC, a leading energy and sustainability consulting firm based in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an experienced HERS Rater to join our team as a Senior Energy Consultant with responsibility for our Mid-Atlantic multifamily portfolio. Firm website:


Responsibilities:

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined below, the Senior Energy Consultant has a key client-facing role as a trusted and reliable advisor to existing customers and for oversight of and reporting on IBA’s Mid-Atlantic portfolio. Reports to the Vice President and Principal.

1.      Project Management: establish project scope and timelines; manage project management software platform (training provided); manage tax credit application deliverables; coordinate review meetings; communication and engagement with owner’s representatives, customers, design professionals and housing agency staff; coordinate site visits with field services staff; manage project closeout tasks and deliverables.

2.      Design Review: review construction documents for compliance with EPA ENERGY STAR for Multifamily New Construction (MFNC) and DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes (ZERH) programs; lead in-house peer design review sessions; produce design review documentation for design teams and customers; participate in design review meetings with all project stakeholders.

3.      Energy Modeling: generate sample sets per RESNET sampling protocol; generate Ekotrope models; worst-case analysis; HERS rating analysis; confirmed and sampled ratings submissions to provider and rebate/incentive programs; utility cost analysis.

4.      Field Work: very limited visits to job sites for visual inspections.


Qualifications:

Required:

o  Active HERS rater or modeler credential in good standing

o  ENERGY STAR for Multifamily New Construction experience

o  Competency with MS Word and Excel

o  Valid driver’s license

Optional but preferred:

o  Experience with DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes projects

o  Experience with EPA Portfolio Manager

o  Experience with Bluebeam

Additional consideration given to candidates with the following qualifications:

o  CPHC

o  PHIUS Verifier

o  NGBS Green Verifier

o  LEED AP

o  ASHRAE 90.1 modeler (eQuest)

o  TREAT

o  Professional associations (NEHERS, iPHA, NAPHN, etc…)

o  Experience with Enterprise Green Communities projects
