Travel Nurse RN - ICU/Critical Care in Louisville, KY

**Job Title:** Critical Care Registered Nurse

**Shift:** Night: 19:00-07:30 (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), every other weekend
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48 hours available (note nurse preference)
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience
**License:** Registered Nurse
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIH
**Must-Have:** Willingness to float to various facilities and units within the scope of practice
**Job Description:**
- Work in a Medical ICU with a diverse patient population, including providing services for women.
- Manage a unit with 26 beds and maintain a patient ratio of 2-3 patients per RN.
- Read and interpret telemetry strips.
- Handle top diagnoses and procedures, including DKA, Sepsis, Oncology, CKD/ESRD/AKI, Acute Respiratory issues, Pneumonia, ARDS, GI Bleed, Stroke, NSTEMI.
- Utilize common equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, nitric oxide machines, CRRT, CVC, and A-lines.
- Titrate medications such as sedation, vasopressors, opioids, antidysrhythmics, diuretics, and nitroglycerin.
- Use Epic charting system.
- Wear galaxy blue scrubs (employee-provided).

- IV insertion and blood draw proficiency
- PICC/Central Line management
- Dialysis fistula management
- A-line and CVP management
- Proficient in obtaining a 12-lead EKG
- Cardioversion/defibrillation capabilities
- Procedural sedation expertise
- Proficiency with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilators
- Nitric oxide administration
- Tracheostomy care
- Peritoneal dialysis and CRRT management
- Rapid infuser operation
- Epidural/PCA pump management
- Feeding tube management
- Continuous bladder irrigation
- Wound vac management
