EY Manager - Business Transformation – TD&E – Oil & Gas Sector

As part of our Transformation Design and Execution (TDE) team, you will work with the senior leadership teams in our key accounts to structure and implement change, as well as creating the capability within our clients to drive change. You will merge your domain experience with program management knowledge to implement and embed improvements and deliver sustainable value.
The opportunity
Our clients are seeking and hiring a new type of Transformation Design expert – one who can integrate a background in energy with the delivery and success of their programs; someone who can talk both the language of consulting and of engineering. Our client stakeholders expect a consultant with strong engineering or process industry experience.
Your key responsibilities
A successful Transformation Design and Execution Manager will work with our clients to design and establish a Transformation Management Office (TMO), Program Management Office (PMO) and/or Project or Product Portfolio Management Office. Some seniors may also be involved in identifying and implementing opportunities to drive digital innovation, such as Artificial Intelligence, within the energy sector. Seniors will apply proven EY frameworks and methodologies based on industry-recognized global standards.

To qualify for the role, you must have:
- At least 5 years Oil & Gas or equivalent process industry experience.
- 2+ years of client-facing consulting experience.
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and a minimum of 2–3 years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of modern project management methodologies, such as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness to travel to meet client needs and ability to travel internationally; although most of our clients are in the greater Houston area, in some cases, travel may be required up to ~60%.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A master’s degree with an emphasis in technical and/or business skills.
- Approximately 2+ years’ experience working in large scale, complex programs.
- Demonstrated ability in workshop facilitation.
- Knowledge of project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera; and/or knowledge of Agile work management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps or Atlassian Jira.
- Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with basic coding languages such as Python.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as PowerAutomate.

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
