Solutions Architect/Presales Engineer for Salesforce Practice
Part-Time (10 - 15 hours/Week)
REMOTE but MUST be comfortable supporting East Coast Hours
About The Role:
The Plumlogix Solution Engineering team is responsible for supporting our State and Local, Small and Medium Business customers over the North America and Canada regions. As the Salesforce Solutions Engineer/ Presales Engineer, you will own the integrity and strength of the solutions recommended. You’ll be acting as a trusted advisor to our team and clients, and an effective mentor for other Salesforce professionals working alongside you. You will need a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform but just as importantly, top-notch people skills to get your ideas and solutions across to stakeholders and gain integrity to get your visions built into successful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and development - Conduct research into clients’ use of Salesforce, producing a report of findings with recommended steps and a roadmap for Salesforce solutions. Collaborate with colleagues and customers to create prototypes and proofs of concept as a means of eliciting and defining requirements.
- Direct customer engagements - You will work on business opportunities, from discovery to tailored demonstrations and presentations that showcase the value of our solutions. You will provide technical expertise during the sales process, addressing customer questions and concerns. You will work in close collaboration with the account executives involved in those accounts.
- One-to-many customer sessions - you will share thought leadership and solution knowledge by running live customer sessions such as webinars and customer workshops to drive solution awareness.
- One to many internal education - you will share your expertise internally by running AE and SE enablement sessions and holding office hours.
- Asset creation - you will create highly relevant and reusable assets such as videos, holodecks, demo environments.
A great Salesforce Presales Solutions Engineer/Architect is seen as a trusted advisor, and they focus on the following key areas:
- Discovery: Work closely with business stakeholders and technical resources to understand how to make organizations successful and to address pain points in their current efforts.
- Design & Deliver: Design innovative solutions that connect business requirements with Salesforce products and delivers presentations, demonstrations, workshops, or white-boarding sessions that engage a business/technical audience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior Experience with Salesforce - customization, automation, user experience/customer experience design
- Salesforce Certifications (E.g., Admin, Developer, Trailhead badges etc)
- Experience working within Salesforce ecosystem, SaaS solutions and related applications, relational databases, and web technology.
- Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration, storyteller, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a creative and adaptable mindset.
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to empathize and understand customer needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
