The Opportunity:

The Systems Administrator position works with a team of highly skilled engineers supporting IT infrastructure and applications for multiple Federal Civilian Enterprise Solutions programs, including FBDS and MEGA. The position works closely with staff from the business operations teams and development teams to manage, maintain, and deploy new solutions in support of these programs.


Responsibilities:

  1. Configure and maintain the technical operations and monitoring of a hybrid on-prem and cloud environment supporting multiple FISMA Moderate systems to improve performance and availability of critical applications and timely resolution of incidents.
  2. Interact with product development teams, test teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, audit, and customer service teams to coordinate operations, release deployment, and maintenance of the system.

Additionally:

  1. Support critical end user applications and work in FISMA Moderate environments on a team of highly skilled systems and network engineers.
  2. Support daily systems, services, and interfaces operations in Production, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and Test environments.
  3. Establish, execute and monitor system health checks to confirm system availability.
  4. Monitor technical services, scheduled jobs and interfaces for failures, irregularities, and performance issues.
  5. Support critical operational processes 24x7.
  6. Monitor and track system compliance against NIST 800-53 Rev5 requirements.
  7. Track and maintain system security documentation and policy and procedure documentation.
  8. Engage in rapid incident support with development and infrastructure team members to communicate and quickly resolve issues and outages.
  9. Monitor operations support ticket queue to promote rapid response with internal and external customers.
  10. Assist in implementation of continuous improvements in processes and procedures, aided by technology, to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  11. Track and meet designated SLAs.

Qualifications:

Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems Management, or related technical field.
  2. 10 years of experience working in complex IT system operations.
  3. Experience with NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirement.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter.

Desired:

  1. Knowledge of RHEL, Splunk, Ping Federate, Active Directory, zScaler, VMware, Storage Area Networks highly desired.
  2. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
  3. Experience with cloud technologies and services.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $94,400 - $198,300
