With classes and certifications, we ensure every caregiver is equipped with the tools to excel in their invaluable role.

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Annual Salary Range: $105K-$120K

Schedule: Hybrid

*Travel to the Los Angeles area for in-person meetings will be required approximately 12 times during the year.*

Position Summary:

The Director of Programs - Skilled Nursing Fund (SNF) reports to the Chief Program Officer. The Director of Programs - SNF is a key member of CCA’s leadership team. This position is responsible for overseeing the coordination and administration of the key aspects for upcoming and ongoing programs, including planning, organizing, staffing, and leading the direction of program activities. This position engages in high level strategy and decision making processes to meet the current and anticipated needs of the union, employers and bargaining unit members in the SEIU Local 2015 Education Training and Trust Fund.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership in developing program and budget plans with the CPO, and carry out plans and policies authorized by the Board.
2. Develop and implement Education Fund programs in California.
3. Analyze data regarding outcomes of education and training programs resulting in recommendations to the CPO.
4. Negotiate agreements with a wide variety of educational vendors.
5. Establish and cultivate working relationships with key union and management representatives.
6. Develop and provide various reports for the CPO, Board, and to support bargaining.
7. Keep abreast of trends and changes to long-term care and healthcare industry in California and nationally.
8. Maintain consistent and regular communications with the CPO on progress of program delivery.
9. Develop infrastructure for Education Fund operations throughout California that meets the needs of the geographic spread of the membership.
10. Coordinate and work with the CPO, Board and leadership team to implement the strategic plan and vision of the Ed Fund.
11. Represent the Ed Fund interest at external meetings including speaking engagements.
12. Assess needs and ensure that program objectives are met.
13. Direct outreach efforts and maintain the highest standard for outreach by developing and communicating clear expectations to program staff to meet the needs of students and ensure success.
14. Actively lead field support by modeling behavior, providing direction, and coaching to improve performance.
15. Develop, monitor, evaluate, and refine Education Fund program processes to ensure optimal delivery and quality experience for students.
16. Conduct observations of vendors, instructional team, vendors and staff to ensure quality program delivery.
17. Monitor recruitment and program data and take corrective action to ensure successful enrollment and retention outcomes.
18. Other duties as assigned by CPO or designee.

Inspiring Leadership: Demonstrated success in motivating and retaining highly talented staff and proven ability to mentor and empower staff members.

Experience and Qualifications:

1. Bachelors’ degree in social services or related field; master’s degree preferred.
2. Bilingual preferred (in Spanish/English, Chinese/English, Korean/English, or Armenian/English).
3. Two years’ experience developing program structure, with emphasis on recruitment and adult education.
4. Familiarity with the healthcare environment strongly preferred.
5. Five years of experience managing programming, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
6. Experience assessing staff performance, and developing and delivering staff training.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to foster a cooperative atmosphere in a diverse community.
8. Highly organized, systemic thinker with strong management skills.
9. Exhibit collegiality and diplomacy within a team environment, display good work ethics and a mature understanding of cultural diversity.
10. Demonstrate compassion, competency, and professional accountability for interactions with consumers, stakeholders, colleagues, and others.
11. Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with database programs.
12. Flexibility to work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
13. Able to travel within California.
14. Reliable transportation required.
